Thurston County: Hawk Acres drinking water advisory ends

OLYMPIA - Residents of the Hawk Acres neighborhood northeast of Lacey no longer need to boil their drinking water. Water quality samples show the water is safe to drink.

Marvin Road Water Co., which owns the water system, issued a boil-water advisory Tuesday morning after a six-inch pipe ruptured. Anytime water pressure is lost, contaminants can find their way into the system. The pipe break did not appear to be weather-related.

The water system serves 131 homes in the Hawks Prairie area. Customers who have questions about their water may call 360-491-1920.
