Tobacco Quitline Services

As a result of statewide budget cuts in the last legislative session, fewer services are now available from the Washington State Tobacco Quitline. Benefits once available statewide, are now only available for certain groups and people.

  • Check with your employer to see if you have tobacco cessation coverage. At least 45 statewide employers still cover the cost of a tobacco cessation program for their employees and/or members.
  • Some people on Medicaid are also covered.
  • Uninsured: No services available.

Eligible residents should call the Tobacco Quitline at 1-800-QUIT-NOW. If you do not currently have cessation coverage, they will take your contact information. Then, if there is new funding, they can reach out to provide you with free coaching sessions and printed materials.
