Spokane County dentist suspended for using drugs during patient care
OLYMPIA -- The Dental Commission suspended the license (DE00010962) and general anesthesia permit (GA10000467) of dentist Ryan C. Allen pending further action.
Charges say that on August 6, 2016, while performing a procedure on a patient who was sedated, Allen left the patient on several occasions to use the bathroom. Charges say clinic staff found Allen collapsed in the bathroom in a dazed state after having self-injected propofol.
Allen cannot practice in Washington until these charges are resolved. He has 20 days to respond to these charges and to ask for a hearing.
