Water System Impacted By Heavy Rain
(Pe Ell, Wa) Heavy rains are impacting the Pe Ell water system, which serves approximately 400 customers. People who use that water system will need to conserve water for the next few days.
The intake to the water treatment plant has been damaged in the storm, and the water system cannot currently produce water. It could be several days before the intake is fixed because it is currently inaccessible and repair equipment can’t reach it.
The water that is currently stored in the reservoir may have to last the system for numerous days. Further, 3-5 inches of additional rain are expected in the next 24 hours. This could slow the repair time or exacerbate the issue at the intake itself.
Request of the water system customers: Conserve water as much as possible. Use water only for necessary tasks. Continue water conservation until the notification is lifted by the water system.
All customers of the Pe Ell water system are affected by this issue.
Individuals with questions about the water system or the repair process should call Town Hall for a recorded message: (360) 291-3543
