DTaP prevents diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis. Kids younger than seven get DTaP vaccine.
Kids under seven who can't tolerate the pertussis component in DTaP can get vaccinated with DT since it doesn't contain pertussis. Kids should get five doses of DTaP; one dose at each of the following ages:
- 2 months.
- 4 months.
- 6 months.
- 15 to 18 months.
- 4 to 6 years.
