Immunization Schedule and School and Child Care Immunization Requirements Webinar

Join the WA Department of Health Immunization Nurse Consultants for a review of the 2022 immunization schedule and school and childcare immunization requirements for the 2022-2023 school year. Continuing education will be offered for nurses, medical assistants, pharmacists, and pharmacy technicians. A recording of the webinar will be available.

Learning objectives:

  1. Identify updates to the 2022 immunization schedule.
  2. Describe the immunization requirements needed to attend school and childcare in Washington state.
  3. Identify the changes to the requirements from previous school years.
  4. Know where to find relevant immunization resources.

Target Audience:

Healthcare providers, including nurses, school staff, medical assistants, pharmacists, and pharmacy technicians. Local health jurisdictions and anyone else who may be interested would benefit from this activity.


Trang Kuss, RN, MN, MPH

Trang Kuss is the Immunization Nursing Consultant with the WA Department of Health Office of Immunization.  Trang received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and Master of Nursing and Master of Public Health from the University of Washington.  She has been with the Department of Health for over 20 years. Trang is responsible for providing training and clinical consultation to healthcare providers and the public about vaccine recommendations.

Katherine Graff, BSN, RN, School and Child Care Immunization Nurse Consultant

Katherine has worked as a registered nurse for more than 38 years including 15 years as a school nurse. Since 2016 she has worked for the Washington State Department of Health Office of Immunization and Child Profile. She supports school staff and childcare staff, parents, and providers regarding the immunization requirements in WA and the use of the WA Immunization Information System School Module.

Continuing Education

  • Continuing education (CE) credit is available for nurses, medical assistants, and pharmacists for attending the live webinar or watching the recording.
  • Even if you attend the live webinar or watch the recording as a group, everyone MUST register for the webinar and complete the evaluation as an individual prior to receiving CE credit.
  • CE expires 6/30/22.
  • After attending the live webinar or watching the recording, an evaluation will appear and a link to the evaluation will also be sent to you in an email.
  • If you want CE credit, complete the evaluation and mark Yes that you want CE credit. Please specify the type of CE certificate you wish to obtain. After the live webinar, we will issue certificates to everyone who requested CE.
