The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) has proudly welcomed infants in our workplace since 2015. The Infant at Work Program allows eligible employees who are new parents or legal guardians to bring their baby to work with them from the age of 6 weeks to 6 months. This reflects the best practices we promote across Washington state: supporting parent and infant bonding, parental well-being, healthy infant development, and breastfeeding.
This program supports work-life harmony for employees wherever they work—at home or in the office.
