NEW! Starting January 6th, 2025, you can buy whole grains in any package size up to 48 oz!

You can choose a combination of whole grain choices up to the amount of ounces (oz) listed in your WIC benefits. Breakfast cereals don't count as a whole grain choice for your WIC benefits.

Brown Rice

You can choose:

  • Any package up to 48 oz
  • Any brand
  • Bags or boxes
  • Gluten free
  • Extra long, long, medium, or short grain
  • Instant or regular
  • Non-organic or organic

Oatmeal

You can choose:

  • Any package up to 48 oz
  • Any brand
  • Bags or boxes
  • Cardboard cylinders
  • Gluten free
  • Instant or quick
  • Non-organic or organic
  • Old-fashioned or regular
  • Rolled or steel-cut

Soft Tortillas

Must be:

  •  Plain, soft white, or yellow corn  tortillas or whole wheat tortillas

You can choose:

  • Any package up to 48 oz
  • Any brand
  • Corn or corn masa soft tortillas
  • Whole wheat soft tortillas
  • Low sodium
  • Non-organic or organic

Whole Wheat Pasta

Must be:

  • Made from whole wheat or whole durum wheat

You can choose:

  • Any package up to 48 oz
  • Any brand
  • Bags or boxes
  • Any type
  • Non-organic or organic

Whole Wheat Bread

Must be:

  • Labeled “100% whole wheat” and/or contain at least 50% whole grains by weight

You can choose:

  • Any package up to 48 oz
  • Any brand
  • Loaf and sliced
  • Low sodium
  • Non-organic or organic
  • Sugar free

Whole Wheat Hamburger and Hot Dog Buns

Must be:

  • Labeled “100% whole wheat” and/or contain at least 50% whole grains by weight

You can choose:

  • Any package up to 48 oz
  • Any brand
  • Non-organic or organic
  • Topped with seeds
