Washington State Department of Health’s Childhood and Adolescent Immunization Schedule
Washington state’s childhood immunization schedule, insurance coverage, and school requirements remain unchanged, reflecting consistent, science-based guidance.
Childhood Vaccine Program (CVP) providers should continue following the Washington State Department of Health’s (DOH) recommended childhood and adolescent immunization schedule (PDF) for birth through 18 years of age. This schedule is based on recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and remains the appropriate standard of care for all children, including those receiving vaccines through the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program.
All recommended vaccines remain available at no cost for children under age 19 through the CVP. Families should not experience any changes in vaccine access or coverage due to recent federal policy developments.
Immunization has proven to be the most effective way to control the spread of diseases that can be prevented, which are at record low levels. The Office of Immunization continues to work for a safer and healthier Washington. The office works to:
- Prevent vaccine-preventable diseases in children, adolescents, and adults.
- Promote healthy families and increase use of preventive health care for children and adolescents.
- Provide vaccines at no cost to providers for all children under age 19.
