Operations that have a valid commercial shellfish license are eligible to apply for additional permits depending on the activities they would like to do.
Types of Permits
Aquaculture Permit: Needed to move seed from areas that are classified as Prohibited or unclassified.
Bait Permit: Needed to move market size (larger than maximum seed size) shellstock for bait only from areas that are classified as Prohibited, Restricted, Conditionally Approved in closed status, or unclassified.
Relay Permit: Needed to move market size (larger than maximum seed size) shellstock from areas that are classified as Conditionally Approved in the closed status or Restricted.
Wet Storage Permit: Needed to move market size (larger than maximum seed size) shellstock from one growing area to another. Also required to store shellstock in upland systems.
Wild Seed Permit: Needed to move seed from areas that are classified as Prohibited.
