What’s Happening
On October 6, 2026, the Department of Health filed a CR-103 (PDF) with adopted changes to chapter 246-358-010, 246-358-025, 246-358-027, 246-358-080, 246-358-990, and 246-359-550. The department adopted amendments to add a definition for ‘site operation date’, add the term in the applicable section, remove gendered language, make editorial updates to align with the Code Reviser’s 2025 Bill Drafting Guide without changing the effect of the rules, and align requirements for carbon monoxide alarms and smoke detectors with the state building code, chapter 51-51 WAC.
