Rules in Progress
The rules writing process is open to the public. The public is welcome to take part in helping us write rules. Rules are also known as regulations, Washington Administrative Code, or WAC. The rule-making process includes public notices and workshops, and usually a public hearing before a rule becomes final.
Current Rules in Progress
The Department of Health filed a CR-105 proposing to update the medical test site requirements in chapter 246-338 WAC (PDF), sections 022, 040, 050, 060, 070, 080 and 090. The proposed amendments will incorporate existing minimum standards that are missing, adopts new federal requirements, and makes technical corrections. A presentation is available which describes the amendments to the rules (PDF). This presentation is also available in video format. Below are instructions on how to comment on the proposed rule and supporting documents.
