Attention Washington State Specimen Submitters
Due to a temporary shortage of Washington newborn screening (NBS) cards, we ask that Washington facilities delay placing new orders and only submit requests for urgently needed supplies. Please note, this supply shortage does not impact Idaho facilities or submitters.
As a temporary solution, we will be distributing Idaho NBS cards with an adhesive label placed on the card, marking its use as a replacement Washington NBS card. Please continue to follow the same collection and submission protocols when using these cards.
We appreciate your cooperation and flexibility as we work to restore the normal supply of Washington NBS cards.
