The department inspects migrant farmworker housing facilities twice a year for licensing and operation. We also inspect facilities when there is a change of ownership, we receive a complaint, or when a follow-up inspection is necessary. View temporary worker housing inspection results and license status.
Pre-Occupancy
The inspector will schedule an inspection with the operator before the housing opens. After completing the inspection, the inspector will give the operator a report listing any problems found that must be corrected.
Occupancy
The inspector will make an unannounced visit to inspect the site. After completing the inspection, the inspector will give the operator a report listing any problems found that must be corrected.
Follow-up Inspections
We conduct follow-up inspections when we determine an additional inspection is needed to verify correction of problems found during a previous inspection. This inspection may be either scheduled or unannounced.
Change of Ownership
We conduct a licensing inspection for the new owner of a previously licensed facility.
Complaints
We inspect facilities during complaint investigations.
Prepare for Inspection
