The Primary Care Office (PCO) works to improve access to primary care for medically underserved areas and populations. The PCO coordinates federal, state, and local efforts to strengthen the health care workforce and reduce barriers to primary health care. The PCO is supported by an annual agreement from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
