What’s Happening
On August 12, 2026, the Department of Health (department) filed a CR-102 (PDF) with proposed changes to WAC 246-240-025. The department is proposing to incorporate the missing notification language from the federal requirements in 10 CFR 35.14(a), Subpart A by text into WAC 246-240-025. The proposed amendment also corrects subsection numbers, and adds a comma to correct the mailing address. This rulemaking is necessary to ensure consistency between federal and state rules.

The department invites you to comment on the proposal through October 6, 2026 at midnight. A public hearing will be held on October 6, 2026 beginning at 3:00pm to give you an opportunity to provide oral comments.
