Increasing Access to Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptives at Federally Qualified Health Centers (PDF)

This report describes the outcomes of a legislature-allocated initiative created under Chapter 475, Laws of 2023 Sec. 222(119). The initiative supported access to long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARCs) at Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) across Washington.

During state fiscal years 2024 and 2025, the Department of Health awarded grants to participating FQHCs to purchase LARC devices and strengthen clinic capacity to offer same-day access. The department submitted this report to the Washington State Legislature in December 2025.
