How to Sign Up

SCCI Wizard

The School and Child Care Immunization Wizard is a tool for questions about immunization requirements, forms, the School and Child Care Immunization Module, roster uploads and delegation requests.

This page explains how schools, child care centers, and other organizations request access to the School and Child Care Immunization Module (SCCIM). This page helps you start that process and understand what to expect.

This page walks you through the first phase of SCCIM onboarding: submitting your Information Sharing Agreement (ISA).

  • You’ll find checklists and guides to help you explain SCCIM to decision-makers and prepare internally.
  • All remaining steps, like assigning users or setting up accounts, happen later.

SCCIM access is only granted to organizations that submit a completed ISA and are approved by the Department of Health. This task is an important first step for new staff and organizations that haven’t used SCCIM before.

Who Can Access SCCIM

  • Public school districts
  • Private schools
  • Charter schools
  • Head Start/ECEAP programs
  • Child cares

New ISAs are processed from January through August 15.

Step 1: Understand the Two Types of ISAs

Every organization must submit an Information Sharing Agreement (ISA) to access SCCIM. This agreement protects confidentiality and outlines how your organization can interact with the Washington Immunization Information System (WAIIS).

Use the descriptions below to choose the correct type for your setting:

Full Exchange ISA

What it allows:

  • View and print the Certificate of Immunization Status (CIS)
  • Access SCCIM reports and letters
  • Add vaccination dates to the IIS
  • Complete the annual Immunization Status report

What it requires:

  • A signature of a licensed medical professional (ex. school nurse)
  • A signature of Public District Superintendent, Private Head of School, or Child Care Administrator

Limited Exchange ISA

What it allows:

  • View and print the CIS
  • Access SCCIM reports and letters
  • Does not allow you to add vaccination dates
  • Complete the annual Immunization Status report

What it requires:

  • Only requires signature of Public District Superintendent, Private Head of School, Child Care Administrator
  • Does Not Require signature of a licensed medical professional (ex. school nurse)

Step 2: Get Internal Approval

Some schools and child care centers may need district or organizational leadership to review the ISA before signing. These tools help leadership understands the benefits and responsibilities of SCCIM participation.

Step 3: Complete the Right Form

Step 4: Submit Your ISA

Send your completed form to the Department of Health using the instructions on the form. Most ISAs are reviewed and approved within 30 days.

Step 5: Wait for Email Instructions

Once your ISA is approved, our team will enter your information into our system and send you a follow-up email with everything you need to move forward. This may take up to a month.

Please do not take additional steps until you receive that email. The next part of the onboarding process is customized for your organization type.
