February Credentialing Freeze: All licensing and credentialing systems for health professionals and facilities will be unavailable on Friday, February 14 from 5 p.m. until the morning of Wednesday, February 19, 2025, to complete system upgrades. Please complete your applications and renewals now to avoid delays.

Effective January 31, 2025: DOH has new registration requirements for all dental laboratories operating in Washington state:

For New Applications (submitted on or after January 31, 2025)

  • Dental laboratories must employ either:
    • A Certified Dental Technician (CDT) in good standing who works at least 30 hours per week, or
    • Operate under the supervision of a licensed dentist
  • The application must include:
    • Proof of 12 hours of continuing education, or
    • A current CDT certificate

For Existing Registrations (active before January 31, 2025)

  • Dental laboratories renewing registrations in 2025 must:
    • Meet the requirements of RCW 70.352.050 (2)(a), or
    • Provide documentation of continuous ownership and operation by the same individual since January 1, 1996
