Working with partners in and beyond healthcare and the public health community, the Department of Health developed the State Health Assessment to better facilitate strategic thinking about improving health in Washington. This document is a key resource for public health – to provide data and identify key health issues, to convene leaders across multiple sectors, and to strategize with leaders on aligned prevention efforts, policy development, and communication to promote the health of Washingtonians. Communities across the state can use State Health Assessment findings for community health improvement planning and policy development.
