The new Certificate in Population Health Equity is now offered through the School of Nursing at the University of Washington.
True health improvement requires a population and systems perspective capable of addressing the root causes of health inequities and the ability to address the inequities through evidence-based policy, systems, and environmental changes, and partnership with affected communities.
This certificate is intended to better prepare nurses and other professionals or graduate students to understand and address the underlying causes of social and environmental determinants of health and health equity.
The certificate is designed for Baccalaureate or graduate-prepared professionals in nursing or other related fields with an interest in strengthening their knowledge and skills in systems and population approaches to health equity.
