We're here to share an important update with care and transparency:
Due to state and federal budget reductions, the Drayage Trucker Program Manager will no longer be available after July 31, 2025. We understand that losing access to this program may cause stress, uncertainty, or disruption, and we’re truly sorry for the impact this may have on you and your community.
Although this program is ending because it no longer has funding, the law it supports is still in effect. We’ve included helpful information and resources below.
Even though this specific program is ending, the Washington State Department of Health remains deeply committed to supporting the health and safety of people and communities across our state.
State law 70.54.480 RCW protects access to restrooms and lactation spaces for drayage truck drivers. A drayage truck driver specializes in moving containerized freight in and out of ocean ports or rail ramps. If you're a drayage trucker and a port in Washington state denied you access to a restroom or lactation space while delivering or receiving goods, contact us. A Washington port that denies drayage truck drivers access to restrooms or lactation spaces may be subject to a violation letter, a fine, or both.
