The Office of Healthy and Safe Communities works to increase health equity and wellness for all people in Washington state. We do so by engaging communities and key partners across sectors to identify and implement community-led efforts to address health inequities. We are dedicated to the prevention of death and disease and promoting health by implementing policies, systems, environmental changes, and community clinical linkages. We ensure communities have access to important state-wide data to ensure data-driven solutions. Our areas of expertise include community-based prevention, injury and violence prevention, and cancer prevention and control.
