Proposed Rules Hearing
The Department of Health is proposing rule amendments to several sections of medical assistant rules to update credentialing requirements and ensure that the rules are current and align with best practices. The department is also proposing adding a new section to address medication administration requirements for the medical assistant-registered credential.
The medical assistant program has officially filed a CR-102 with the Office of the Code Reviser on November 2, 2024. The WSR# is 24-22-100 (PDF). The CR-102 includes information about the hearing and the proposed rule language.
In response to the filing, the department will conduct an open public rules hearing on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, beginning at 9 am. and will be offered in a hybrid format (virtually and in person). Participation is voluntary.
If you would like to attend virtually, register for the hearing. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
