Adolescents & Young Adults

Young people need guidance, support, and encouragement for healthy development. The Washington State Department of Health's (DOH) Adolescent & Young Adult Health Unit leads public health programs with a Positive Youth Development approach. This approach promotes healthy experiences, relationships, and environments, and encourages young people to make positive decisions for healthy and successful lives as they move from childhood into adulthood.
