Plans and Procedures for Radiological Emergency Preparedness

Plans and procedures are maintained for the Department's response to all radiological emergencies. They are reviewed and revised as necessary for responding to emergencies at the Columbia Generating Station (CGS) nuclear power plant, U.S. Department of Energy (U.S. DOE) Hanford Site, Naval facilities, Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) events, and radioactive material transportation accidents.

These plans and procedures are reviewed on a continual basis and are coordinated with our response partners. Emergency response partners include agencies at all levels of government, some private entities and various non-governmental organizations.
