Rules in Progress
The rules writing process is open to the public. The public is welcome to take part in helping us write rules. Rules are also known as regulations, Washington Administrative Code, or WAC. The rule-making process includes public notices and workshops, and usually a public hearing before a rule becomes final.

Health Equity Continuing Education

The Department of Health is considering adopting the health equity continuing education (CE) model rules, WAC 246-12-800 through 246-12-830, to comply with RCW 43.70.613. The department will also consider whether additional CE hours and course topics should be included.
Definition Rules Section

The Department of Health is considering creating a new definition rules section for licensed athletic trainers.
The Department of Health has filed a withdrawal memo for this CR-101 (PDF) and a new CR-101 will be filed to align the scope of the CR-101 as necessary to implement Substitute House Bill (SHB) 1275 (chapter 290, Laws of 2023).
