The Department of Health is committed to supporting healthy families and healthy communities by providing quality services and care. Are you happy with the health care you are receiving? Are there areas where we can improve for you and your children? Take our survey to provide your feedback and help us help you.

Share the survey https://fortress.wa.gov/doh/opinio/s?s=11219 anywhere you can, and encourage others to provide their input as well. Together, we can work to broaden the scope of our efforts and reach more Washingtonians in need.

Recommended vaccines protect you and your loved ones from many different diseases including whooping cough, measles, hepatitis B, chickenpox, and influenza. Many of these illnesses are commonly thought of as childhood diseases, but may also occur in adolescent or adult years.

As kids get older, protection from some childhood vaccines begins to wear off. Plus, older kids can also develop risks for other diseases. Health check-ups and sports or camp physicals can be a good opportunity for your preteens and teens to get the recommended vaccines.

Tooth decay is the number one chronic disease among children that can begin early in life. Dental care remains a top unmet need for low income adults, including special needs and pregnant women. The good news is tooth decay and gum disease are largely preventable by taking simple measures at home.
