Resource information for military personnel and their spouses or registered domestic partners

Washington State recognizes the contributions of our service members, veterans, spouses or domestic partners. The Department of Health is collaborating with the Office of the Governor, internal workforce commissions, the Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs, and other internal and external stakeholders to spread the word about licensing and/or credentialing opportunities. We encourage military members to seek out career opportunity resources they may be eligible for, and that may assist them in their search for employment before, during and after transition.

The Department of Health, Health Systems Quality Assurance, Office of Health Professions and Facilities provides regulatory oversight, including licensing and certification, for over 83 health professions and or occupations. Military personnel may have met some or all of the credentialing requirements through military or other training and experience.

Military personnel interested in one or more of the listed occupations and would like more information about requirements may contact us or select the desired occupation for program specific information.

Thank you to previous and current military personnel and their families for your service to the United States of America.

Note: Military refers to members of the U.S. Armed Forces, including the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps.
