- On September 11, 2023, the Board of Massage in conjunction with the Department of Health filed a CR-103P Rule-Making Order as WSR #23-19-026 (PDF) with the Office of the Code Reviser, adopting amendments to WAC 246-830-475, to establish health equity continuing education requirements to implement Engrossed Substitute Senate Bill 5229 (PDF). Policy Statement BOM 20-01.6, which waives the hands on portion of continuing education, expired on December 31, 2022. Beginning January 1, 2023, to renew their license, massage therapists are required to complete the continuing education requirements as provided in WAC 246-830-475.
