A licensed midwife must complete and maintain proof of 30 hours of continuing education (CE) every three years to maintain their license. Review WAC 246-834-355 to ensure compliance with CE course requirements and regulations.

How do I document my CE activities?

Continuing education must be documented in compliance with WAC 246-12-170 through WAC 246-12-240. Documentation for all activities must include licensee's name, date of activity, and number of hours, and must be retained for four years.

Are there pre-approved CE courses?

The department does not pre-approve continuing competency courses for presenters or licensees.
