Ambulatory Surgical Facilities

Ambulatory surgical facilities (ASF) are state licensed facilities that provide outpatient specialty or multi-specialty surgical services. Patients are admitted and discharged within 24 hours. Most ASFs are also Medicare certified. ASFs provide patients an alternative to hospital-based surgery, often at a reduced cost.
