Medical Cannabis Pesticide Testing

Pesticide Testing

In order to comply with the quality assurance testing in WAC 246-70-050, pesticide screening by a certified third-party lab approved by the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board (WSLCB) must be completed at the time of harvest for all cannabis flowers, trim, leaves, or other plant matter. Pesticide screening and screening for pyrethrins and piperonlyl butoxide (PBO) must also be completed for each batch of finished concentrates and extracts.

The lab must screen for the following unapproved pesticides:

  • Abamectin
  • Bifenthrin
  • Chlormequat chloride
  • Daminozide
  • DDVP (Dichlorvos)
  • Imidacloprid
  • Myclobutanil
  • Paclobutrazol
  • Permethrin
  • Propiconazole
  • Spinosad
  • Spiromesifen
