TB Services and Standards Manual

The TB Services and Standards Manual (PDF) manual describes policies, protocols and recommendations for the prevention and treatment of tuberculosis (TB) in Washington State. It was written primarily for the Local Health Jurisdictions (LHJs) and Tribal Public Health Partners of Washington State as a reference guide on TB diagnosis, treatment and prevention.

    This document is designed to help the Local Health Officer (LHO) quickly identify activities and knowledge necessary to have an effective local TB program that meets legal responsibilities, Department of Health standards, and national goals.
  • TB Follow Up Worksheet Reference Guide (LHJ) (EDN)
    Guideline for local health jurisdictions in completion of the revised Electronic Disease Notification (EDN) Tuberculosis Follow-Up Worksheet (2019). Directions for completing these forms. Alerts users to common errors which may lead to delays or poor data quality.
  • CDC Report of Verified Case of Tuberculosis (RVCT) Instructions
    Definitions for each item on the RVCT. RVCT data should be reported in the Washington Disease Reporting System (WDRS) database.

    This publication provides guidance for entering case and contact investigation data into WDRS, including federal reporting requirements, specifications, and definitions specific to TB.
