Find a Trusted Abortion Provider That Meets Your Needs

To find abortion care in Washington, you can contact your regular health care provider for a referral or use AbortionFinder. It is OK if you don’t have a regular health care provider, you can just contact an abortion clinic directly to schedule an appointment.

You can get abortion care from all trained providers in Washington, including:

  • Advanced registered nurse practitioners (ARNP)
  • Certified nurse midwives (CNM)
  • Pharmacists (PharmD) – medication abortion only
  • Physicians (MD or DO)
  • Physician’s Assistants or Associates (PA)

Crisis Pregnancy Centers (CPCs) or Pregnancy Resource Centers, may have licensed medical providers on staff, but they do not provide abortions, abortion referrals, or other sexual and reproductive health services. Learn how to avoid CPCs.

Telehealth Medication Abortion Providers

A telehealth medication abortion means meeting a provider over the computer or phone to get pills that will cause you to have an abortion. You might need to make an in-person appointment with a provider if you don’t know how long you’ve been pregnant or are too far along in your pregnancy.

A health care provider’s ability to mail you mifepristone may change in the future, but the medication is currently still available. Here’s what you need to know:
 
  1. Right now, you can either pick up mifepristone from a clinic or have it mailed to you. Talk with your provider about all your options.
  2. Washington law continues to protect your right to abortion care.
  3. If you are thinking about getting an abortion, contact a provider as soon as you can. Getting care earlier gives you more options.

Find an Abortion Provider Outside of Washington

If you live in southern Washington, Planned Parenthood of the Columbia Willamette and OHSU in Oregon may be the closest abortion providers to you. They can give abortion care to Washington residents and take Washington insurance.
