The Surveillance and Evaluation (S&E) Section leads many of the assessment activities in the Office of Family and Community Health Improvement (OFCHI). Information gained through these activities contributes to program planning, monitoring, and evaluation to improve health outcomes. Primary S&E activities include:
- Data collection
- Data analysis
- Program evaluation
- Needs assessment
- Data dashboards and report development
We partner closely with the Data Collection and Reporting section and other OFCHI programs, including:
- Maternal and Child Health (MCH) programs funded by the MCH Block Grant, Health Resources and Surveillance Administration
- Universal Developmental Screening
- Sexual and Reproductive Health Program
- School-Based Health Centers
- Other 3 to 5-year population and health-topic specific grants

- Child Death Review
