The Office of Family and Community Health Improvement’s (OFCHI) Surveillance and Evaluation Section oversees assessment activities required for effective planning, monitoring, and action to improve health outcomes. Primary S&E activities include:
- Data collection
- Data analysis
- Program Evaluation
- Needs Assessment
- Data dashboards and reporting
We partner closely with OFCHI programs and lead program evaluation, surveillance, needs assessment, and related activities for a number of bodies of work:
- Maternal and Child Health (MCH) programs funded by the MCH Block Grant, HRSA
- Birth Defects Surveillance
- •Child Death Review
- Universal Developmental Screening
- Sexual and Reproductive Health
- School Based Health Centers
- Other 3 – 5 year population and heath-topic specific grants
