Updated Cards 2024
Washington State Newborn Screening cards were updated in May 2024. We hope these changes will help achieve the following goals:
- Decrease demographic error rates which may cause delays in treatment AND false results
- Increase equity and inclusion in our program
- Make filling out the card easier for specimen submitters
You may notice the new cards are green. If you are a specimen submitter who has the old purple cards, please continue to use those cards if they are not expired. New cards are being shipped with any submitted card order.
