Urgent Infant Formula Recall

Mead Johnson Nutrition has issued a recall for Nutramigen Powder infant formula in 12.6 and 19.8oz cans. No other Mead Jonson products are impacted.

Recalled formulas include

    • ZL3FHG (12.6 oz cans)
    • ZL3FMH (12.6 oz cans)
    • ZL3FPE (12.6 oz cans)
    • ZL3FQD (12.6 oz cans)
    • ZL3FRW (19.8 oz cans)
    • ZL3FXJ (12.6 oz cans)
  • UPC Code:
    • 300871239418
    • 300871239456
  • Use By Date: 1 Jan 2025

Check formula can numbers

  • If recalled, do not feed your baby the formula.
  • Mark all recalled cans as “Do Not Use”.
  • Hold on to recalled cans for a formula exchange.

How to exchange recalled formula

Try to return formula to the store

  • Each store is different in what they can offer.
  • Some stores may take recalled formula back and offer an exchange, store credit, or refund. If this is an option, you can use that credit or refund to get any formula.
  • If the store won’t exchange formula see number 2 below.

Call your WIC Clinic

  • Check to see what WIC formula is available at your stores;
  • Call the clinic to exchange formula benefits as needed;
  • If you can’t get a hold of your clinic, call the state at 1-800-841-1410 Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
